Local Westport-Based Non-Profits Are Urged To Apply By October 18th
The Community Service Committee of The Westport Woman’s Club (WWC) is calling for applications from local non-profit organizations in Westport for the Club’s annual Ruegg Grant. The deadline for submissions is Friday, October 18th.
- The Ruegg Grant offers a one-time funding award of up to $10,000 for a project in Westport during 2024 – 2025.
- The Grant, founded in 1995 from an endowment by former WWC member Lea Ruegg, supports projects that enhance various sectors in Westport.
- Proposed initiatives should be impactful projects that benefit the Westport community, focusing on areas such as social services, health, safety, arts, or education.
- Over $200,000 in Ruegg Grants have been awarded by the WWC since the named grant was established.
If you are a Westport-based non-profit and have a significant project planned for 2024 – 2025, please submit your application by Friday, October 18th, to The Westport Woman’s Club, c/o Ruegg Grant Committee, 44 Imperial Avenue, Westport, CT 06880. In addition to the Ruegg Grant, The Westport Woman’s Club supports local organizations through community service grants, college scholarships, their Bedford Hall venue usage grants, and volunteer efforts.
The Westport Woman’s Club, organized in 1907, is a non-profit philanthropic organization dedicated to volunteerism and the raising of funds in support of the educational, charitable, cultural and public health services in Westport and surrounding towns.
