I was in the middle of a conversation with someone a few weeks ago when we were talking about the last few years and I simply said, “I’d rather be in Downtown Westport” then it stuck with me for a few days. Giving me an itch I had to scratch and with a few days of research, the “I’d rather be..” collection was born.
I try to keep these designs personal. As I said before, we all have a Westport story. Some are typical stories and others like myself opened a door I never imagine going down. With the 4th of July around the corner, I brought back Minuteman and gave him some love in a Connecticut design – hoping to give the impression of American history. What I wanted to do with Minuteman was classic, but I didn’t have the right photo to work with. I have another year to work out that plan.
