The Men Wear Pink of Fairfield campaign will unveil its 2025 ambassadors during a kickoff reception on Thursday, Sept. 25, at Maserati of Westport. The event, running from 5:30 to 8 p.m., will celebrate 14 community leaders who have committed to raising funds and awareness in support of the American Cancer Society’s breast cancer initiatives.
The free reception will feature VIP networking, live music, light fare, beer and wine, and the official introduction of this year’s ambassadors. Each ambassador has pledged to raise a minimum of $2,500 and to wear pink every day throughout October to help spotlight the fight against breast cancer.
Launched in 2013 in Jackson, Tennessee, the Men Wear Pink movement was created to engage local leaders and influencers in the fight against breast cancer. Since then, the initiative has grown into a nationwide campaign, raising more than $80 million over the past decade.
Funds raised through Men Wear Pink directly support the American Cancer Society’s efforts to improve the lives of breast cancer patients and their families. Dollars go toward groundbreaking research, education to help individuals lower their risk, and patient support services ranging from transportation to treatment to lodging near cancer centers.
“For more than 110 years, the American Cancer Society has been a leader in the fight against cancer,” the organization noted. “Thanks to campaigns like Men Wear Pink, more people are surviving breast cancer than ever before, but there is still work to be done.”
The 2025 Fairfield campaign also coincides with the start of Making Strides Against Breast Cancer season, a companion initiative that unites communities across the country in raising funds and awareness for breast cancer programs.
