Westport Country Playhouse presents “Live from Laurel Canyon – Songs and Stories of American Folk Rock” on March 22

Live From Laurel Canyon

Westport Country Playhouse will present “Live from Laurel Canyon – Songs and Stories of American Folk Rock” on Sunday, March 22, at 7 p.m., offering audiences a musical journey through the iconic Laurel Canyon music scene of the 1960s and ’70s.

The seven-piece band celebrates legendary artists including The Mamas and the Papas, The Byrds, Buffalo Springfield, The Doors, Neil Young, James Taylor, and more, performing beloved songs while sharing the stories behind them. Laurel Canyon, a creative hub in the Hollywood Hills, was home to a generation of musicians who helped define the folk-rock genre.

Band members Todd Chuba, Holly Pyle, Adam Armijo, Brian Chartrand, Lamar Gaines, Mario Mendivil, and Josh Taylor bring fresh interpretations to the era’s classics in a performance that lasts approximately 90 minutes with a 15-minute intermission.

Tickets for the show are $45, $55, and $65. More information is available at westportplayhouse.org.
