The Westport Library will hold its annual Big Fall Book Sale from Friday, Dec. 5, through Monday, Dec. 8, on the library’s main level at 20 Jesup Road. The event features thousands of gently used books across more than 50 categories, including vintage children’s and antiquarian titles, as well as audiobooks, CDs, vinyl, DVDs, ephemera, and framed artwork. Admission is free.
Early Access tickets are available online for a Friday morning session from 8:45 a.m. to noon. General sale hours are noon to 6 p.m. Friday, 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday, 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. Sunday, and 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Monday. Sunday marks the start of half-price pricing on most items, and Monday allows shoppers to fill a library logo bag for $10, or their own equivalent-sized bag for $8.
Special offerings include a German-language collection, musical scores and materials related to Gilbert & Sullivan operettas, holiday-themed children’s books, puzzles, and a variety of framed artwork. A $1 Fiction Room will feature thousands of books priced at $1 each, which will remain $1 during Sunday’s half-price sale.
