The sale offers books for readers from toddlers through adults, with thousands of gently used titles in more than 50 categories of fiction and non-fiction. Selections include Noteworthy books, antiquarian books and vintage children’s books. Shoppers will also find DVDs, CDs, vintage vinyl, ephemera, jigsaw puzzles and framed artwork, from small desktop pieces to large wall pictures.

Hours are noon to 6 p.m. Friday, 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday, 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. Sunday and 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Monday. Friday’s start time is noon. Almost everything is half-price on Sunday.

Monday is Bag Day. Shoppers can fill the sale’s logo bag for $10, fill their own equivalent-sized bag for $8, or buy individual books at half-price.

On Friday, Nov. 6, from 8:45 a.m. to noon, the sale is open only to patrons who buy an Early Access ticket in advance. Tickets are available online through the book sale’s website, where a Featured Specials list will be updated periodically in the weeks before the sale.

The Fiction for $1 room is a conference room filled with hardcover fiction, mystery, science fiction, fantasy and young adult books, plus paperback novels. Every book in the room costs $1, and the price stays the same on Sunday’s half-price day.

Shoppers who can’t make the sale can visit the nonprofit Westport Book Shop, open year-round at 23 Jesup Road, across Jesup Green from the library. The book sale also runs an eBay store, open for shopping at any time.
