Westport native Chelsea Cutler has announced that her fourth studio album, Is This the End?, will be released on September 25 through Mercury Records. The multi-platinum singer, songwriter, and producer also shared her latest single, This Time of the Year, alongside the record announcement.

The new album is heavily influenced by New York City and Cutler’s experiences navigating her late twenties. Sonically and visually, the project reflects a return to the music that first inspired her artistic career during her late teens and early twenties.

“To me, this record is truly everything all at once,” Cutler said regarding the upcoming release. “This album is chaos and mess, hurt and healing, motion and stillness, rebellion and acceptance, ignorance and revelation, shame and pride. It is everything I’ve felt and everything I’ve been.”

The release of This Time of the Year follows Cutler’s previous singles, including Bad, Sorry I’m Obsessed With You, and What Else?. The new track examines the memories of a past relationship and the realization that unresolved feelings can persist over time.

Cutler previously released three full-length studio albums: How to Be Human in 2020, When I Close My Eyes in 2021, and Stellaria in 2023. She has also released joint projects with collaborator Jeremy Zucker, including the Brent EP series and the 2024 album Brent III.
