The Westport Country Playhouse will host two performances of Pinkalicious, The Musical on Sunday, June 7, as part of its Family Festivities series. The shows are scheduled for 1 p.m. and 4 p.m. Attendees are invited to attend the event dressed as their favorite character from the production.

Produced by Vital Theatre Company, the musical follows the story of a girl named Pinkalicious who eats pink cupcakes despite her parents’ warnings. She contracts an illness called Pinkititis, which turns her pink from head to toe. When the situation goes too far, she must find a way to solve her predicament.

Elizabeth Kann and Victoria Kann wrote the book and lyrics, which are based on their bestselling book. John Gregor composed the music, and Michael Schloegl serves as the director.

The production has a running time of 55 minutes with no intermission. It is intended for children in grades pre-K through second grade. Tickets for the local performances are priced at $35. Click here to purchase tickets.
