The Westport Library’s signature fundraising event, the Big Spring Book Sale, returns next month with an expansive collection of books, media, and puzzles.
Running from Friday, May 15, through Monday, May 18, the sale will occupy the library’s main level. Local residents can browse a wide array of specialized items, including a large assortment of jigsaw puzzles, comic books, and a unique collection of vintage travel books covering regions such as Ireland, England, and Africa.
The sale schedule offers increasing discounts as the weekend progresses:
- Friday, May 15: Early Access (ticketed) 8:45 a.m. to noon; General Public (free) noon to 6 p.m.
- Saturday, May 16: 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.
- Sunday, May 17: 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. (Most items half-price)
- Monday, May 18: 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. (Bag Day and half-price individual items)
Shoppers interested in the “Featured Specials” list can find periodic updates on the Westport Book Sale Ventures website. Organizers are also seeking local volunteers to assist with the event; interested parties can contact the library via email.
