The Community Service Committee of The Westport Woman’s Club (WWC) is calling for applications from local non-profit organizations in Westport for the Club’s annual Ruegg Grant. The deadline for submissions is Thursday, October 30th.
- The Ruegg Grant offers a one-time funding award of up to $10,000 for a project in Westport during 2025- 2026.
- Proposed initiatives should be impactful projects that benefit the Westport community, focusing on areas such as social services, health, safety, arts, or education.
- The Grant, founded in 1995 from an endowment by former WWC member Lea Ruegg, supports projects that enhance various sectors in Westport.
- Over $200,000 in Ruegg Grants have been awarded by the WWC since the named grant was established.

In addition to the Ruegg Grant, The Westport Woman’s Club supports local organizations through community service grants, college scholarships, Bedford Hall usage grants, and volunteer efforts.
