Westport Library seeks candidates for Board of Trustees

The Westport Library Board and the town’s Representative Town Meeting are accepting applications for vacancies on the Library Board of Trustees. The four-year term begins July 1, 2026, and applications are due March 20.

Trustees help guide the library’s mission, maintain financial stability, shape long-term goals and policies, and support leadership while serving as ambassadors for the library’s programs and services. Responsibilities include attending meetings, participating in committees, monitoring budgets, supporting fundraising, and upholding the library’s commitment to intellectual freedom.

Applicants must be residents of Westport for at least 12 months prior to June 30, 2026. Valued qualifications include collaboration, fundraising experience, community connections, prior board service, and skills in areas such as finance, law, strategic planning, or digital innovation.

Interested candidates should submit a resume and letter of interest to Sally Presutto at spresutto@westportlibrary.org. For more information, applicants are encouraged to review the library’s strategic plan and visit westportlibrary.org.
