Local residents looking to complete their higher education can now apply for the 2026 Adult Woman’s Scholarship through the Westport Woman’s Club. The organization is offering awards up to $10,000 to assist qualified candidates with tuition costs.
The funding supports women age 25 and older who want to earn a degree or professional certification following a non-traditional educational path after high school. Selection criteria focus on financial need alongside proven resilience, resourcefulness, and a focus on personal advancement.
To be eligible, candidates must reside within Fairfield County and be at least 25 years old at the time they submit their materials. Applicants cannot hold a bachelor’s degree or higher, though accumulated college credits are permitted.
The selection process evaluates an applicant’s readiness for intellectual challenges and their dedication to finishing their academic program. Applications must arrive no later than Friday, October 16, 2026, at 3:00 p.m.
Submissions must be made by mail or delivered directly to the Westport Woman’s Club building at 44 Imperial Avenue in Westport. Digital submissions sent by email will not be considered, though forms and instructions can be accessed on the organization’s website.
