I am excited to announce that two projects I have been working on are live on the shop. The first one is the Westport Holiday Lights Collection.
I’ve been wanting to create a collection like this for a while. Since about 98 percent of the designs on Finding Connecticut’s shop are text-based, it felt refreshing to work with vector shapes and go through a full design process again — including solving questions like, “How much glowy sparkle does a tiny light bulb actually need?”
Designed in Adobe Illustrator, each piece highlights a landmark that locals instantly recognize and love. I started with the Saugatuck Bridge, then moved on to the Minuteman, and finally the cannon at Compo Beach.
The artwork is available on shirts, prints, mugs, and tote bags.

Westport is my Happy Place
Also new in the shop is the “Westport Is My Happy Place” collection. This idea has been in the back of my mind for a while. Over the years, I tried a handful of fonts but never found the right one — until I came across Rockwell. Interestingly, I had heard years ago that Norman Rockwell had ties to Westport, and learning more about the town’s history as a hub for artists made the font feel like the perfect choice. Westport has long been home to illustrators, designers, and creative thinkers, from Rockwell’s era to today, and this collection is my little nod to that enduring artistic spirit.
