The Levitt Pavilion for the Performing Arts will kick off its 2026 season May 24 with a centennial celebration of jazz icon Miles Davis, featuring the ensemble Get Up With It.
The concert, led by Wilton native and The War on Drugs drummer Charlie Hall, marks the launch of the pavilion’s summer programming. The performance is also part of the venue’s contributions to the United States Semiquincentennial, honoring Davis as a transformative figure in American music.
The ensemble will focus on Davis’ “electric period” from 1969 to 1975, specifically performing material from the albums “In a Silent Way,” “Bitches Brew,” and “Jack Johnson.” Hall, a Grammy-winning musician, originally formed the project in the late 1990s to explore Davis’ fusion of rock, funk, and avant-garde influences.
Tickets for the general public go on sale Sunday, April 12, at 10 a.m. ET. Early bird general admission for the lawn section starts at $20, while premium reserved seating is available for $92.50. Proceeds from the ticketed event will support the pavilion’s signature series of more than 50 free shows held throughout the summer.
