Westoberfest Craft Beer and Family Fall Festival returns on Saturday, October 3, from 1:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. The fall festival takes place along Elm Street and at Sigrid Schultz Plaza.
Admission to the festival is free, with activities available for all ages. Attendees 21 and older can purchase tasting passes to sample more than 50 local and regional beers provided by over 20 breweries.
The family area, sponsored by Gault Family Companies, features a first-time collaborative art program with MoCA CT, One River School of Art and Design, and Whimsy Works Atelier. Children and families can participate in tote bag decorating, fall mandala crafting, parent-child play, pumpkin decorating, and carnival games hosted by Chris and Pete Amusements.
Live entertainment on the main stage, sponsored by Concierge Physicians of Westport, will feature a musical performance by the ska-surf band One Bad Oyster. Westport resident and CBS News Weather Anchor Lonnie Quinn will host the festival’s annual stein-holding contest.
A dedicated vendor area on Elm Street will host local businesses, non-profits, and food vendors including Blind Rhino, Freshko by Krisia, Fryborg, LemoNate’s, Lovely Chocolate by Talita Dupin, Paradise Island Food, and Van Leeuwen Ice Cream. Seasonal decorations at the entrance and stage areas will be provided by New England Pumpkins.
Advance beer tasting passes are priced at $50 for individuals or $200 for a four-pack, with day-of prices rising to $55 and $220. The event is produced by the Westport Downtown Association in collaboration with The Grapevine and Castle Wine and Spirits, with a portion of proceeds directed toward downtown beautification projects, local non-profits, and future community events.
