Actress and author Gina Gershon will take the stage at The Westport Library on March 28 as part of VersoFest 2026, sharing stories from her new memoir, AlphaPussy: How I Survived the Valley and Learned to Love My Boobs.
Gershon will be joined in conversation by award-winning journalist and rock memoirist Alisyn Camerota during the 5 p.m. event in the library’s Trefz Forum. Tickets are $35 and include a copy of the book.
The appearance is one of several headline programs for VersoFest, the library’s annual celebration of music, media and creativity. Other featured events include a Feb. 27 performance by rising rock band The Thing; a March 26 conversation with folk-rock icon Ani DiFranco; and a March 27 concert by Grammy-winning artist Wyclef Jean, along with panels, installations and keynote talks throughout the festival.
In AlphaPussy, Gershon recounts her unconventional journey from growing up in California’s San Fernando Valley to building a decades-long career on stage and screen. The book blends humor and reflection as she explores themes of survival, autonomy and resilience through stories of her life in entertainment.
Gershon’s career spans more than 40 years and includes film roles in Bound, Showgirls, The Insider, Face/Off and The Player, as well as television appearances on Curb Your Enthusiasm, Riverdale and Brooklyn Nine-Nine. She has also performed on Broadway and at Carnegie Hall and is the author of several books, including In Search of Cleo.
Camerota, a journalist and two-time Emmy Award winner, is the author of the novel Amanda Wakes Up and the memoir Combat Love, which became an Amazon best-seller in 2024.
