MoCA\CT to host one-night concert with jazz phenom Endea Owens

Endea Owens to perform at Moca CT in June 2026
Endea Owens

The Museum of Contemporary Art Connecticut, located in Westport, will present an exclusive evening of jazz featuring Endea Owens + The Cookout on Saturday, June 6.

The special one-night engagement serves as the musical finale for the museum’s current exhibition, “Art, Jazz + the Blues,” which officially closes on Sunday, June 7.

Owens, a Juilliard graduate who has been mentored by jazz greats Wynton Marsalis and Ron Carter, currently performs as part of Jon Batiste’s Stay Human band on “The Late Show with Stephen Colbert.” Her musical contributions have been featured during H.E.R.’s Super Bowl LV performance and on the soundtrack for the film “Judas and the Black Messiah.”

The Westport performance will feature live selections spanning Owens’ discography, including her 2023 debut “Feel Good Music” and her latest 2025 album, “Caught Up in This Illusion.”

Aside from her touring and television work, Owens operates a non-profit initiative called the “Community Cookout,” which has distributed thousands of free meals and public performances to underserved communities.
