The Westport Book Shop is hosting local artist Harrison Gill as the guest exhibitor for the month of May at the shop’s Drew Friedman Art Place. The exhibition features a selection of watercolor paintings depicting the Long Island Sound and the Saugatuck River.
Gill, an architect by profession who co-founded his own firm, has transitioned his focus in recent years toward watercolor. He has practiced the medium daily for several years and recently earned first-place awards at the Kent Art Association and the Salmagundi Club in New York City. His educational background includes studies at the University of Virginia, London’s Architectural Association, and the New School.
The public is invited to a reception for the exhibit on Thursday, May 21, 2026, from 6 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. Due to limited space, the book shop requests guests RSVP via telephone at 203-349-5141 or email.
The artwork will remain on display and available for purchase through May 31, 2026.
